Westville won the KZN Coastal regional final in the Coca-Cola School’s T20 Challenge for the second year in a row, with a terrific performance against DHS.

Westville stars Cameron Gordon, Nicholas Pentz and Luke Schlemmer (captain).

Westville came into the match full of confidence, having put in a great performance against Glenwood in the semifinals. DHS on the other hand had to overcome Kearsney for their spot in the final.

The players would have been excited to be played at Kingsmead, with DHS batting first and were in trouble early on as the Westville bowlers were superb. From the word go Westville grabbed hold of the match and held the advantage, with DHS losing wickets regularly and unable to ever really get their innings going with a good partnership. The chief destroyer with the ball was Cameron Gordon, who picked up three for nine in a fabulous spell of bowling.

Westville will now take on the winners from KZN Inland to decide which school will represent the Dolphins at the National Finals in February.
